Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Who we share your data with

This data is available by simple request through our Request page Personal Data.

We store your data in encrypted form outside of afore mentioned providers. This data is not readable for these providers mentioned below. These providers deliver specific services to host, maintain, secure or backup the website.
Siteground GDPR : Our hostingprovider can collect information from our visitors to ensure propper operation and security of our website. They do not collect personalized data.
WordFence: Security provider that actively scans visitors for potentialy harmful bots/visitor actions. And protects the website from malicious attacks.
Dropbox: We save off server backups of the website for up to 90 days in a secure folder on Dropbox. These backups are automatically deleted after 90 days.
Amazon: We save off server backups of the website for up to 90 days in a secure folder on Amazon.S3. These backups are automatically deleted after 90 days.
ManageWP: This is a plugin/cloud service we use to manage and keep up to date our websites all from a central hub.

We do not and will never share your personal data with third party commercial organisations.

How long we retain your data

  • If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
  • For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
  • Backups are retained for 90 days after which they will be automatically deleted from the servers.
  • Consent data is stored for a whole year. After that period, you will be asked again.
  • E-commerce data will be stored for 10 years, as required by law for all commercial transactions.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

We do everything in our power to secure and manage your data.

Our website/password storage software and computers are protected by finger print scanning and a login and password double authentication process.

Our employees are aware of security procedures and the need of having a security environment in place when working on the site.

We use highly secure passwords as requested by the WordPress organisation.

On all our websites we install security plugins that help us keep your data secure.

We have a data breach procedure in place that commands us to notify affected parties as soon as possible and as thourougly as possible about the breach. What data has been comprimised and we will notify affected parties about the steps we are taking in order to contain and resolve the data breach.
